About me

My name is Marco Bastogi and I am a qualified interpreter and translator. In addition to that, I am a sworn interpreter for the Italian language in Germany. I work in the following combinations: Italian-German, German-Italian, English-Italian, Italian-English and French-Italian. After my successful graduation at the SSML Carlo Bo in Florence in 2021 in Linguistic Mediation, I continued my studies by acquiring my Master’s degree Conference Interpreting at the Heidelberg University (in Germany) in 2023. In the meantime, I have never stopped to study enthusiastically all the subjects I have dealt with in both university and professional and private spheres. Thanks to this I could massively expand my general knowledge.

My professional experience is already solid and varied: I have worked as an interpreter in legal settings, international trade fairs, conferences and federal offices. In these contexts I coudl deal with complex situations and highly professional settings. I have assisted notaries, offices, companies, and private clients to achieve their goals, thus acting as a crucial language and cultural bridge. As I am a very curious person, I am keeping learning new languages to widen my services.

I am proud to be a member of the VKD (the association of conference interpreters in Germany), which promotes high standards of quality and professionalism in our sector. In addition to interpreting and translating, I always teach the languages I master very enthusiastically and I do even organise seminars on history and art history, two of my greatest interests together with languages.
